Just realized that I never posted the final zinnia painting which I now have hanging in my kitchen. There were seemingly endless rounds of touch-up involved and at some point I just stopped and let it be just floating in all it’s beauty and variations. I’m very happy to get to enjoy it every day.

Previous Work

I have been wanting to go bigger with my paintings so decided that my zinnias were the perfect subject for a very large painting. This particular zinnia was one of the first to bloom and unusual with varied shades of orange. This acrylic painting is on a 20″ x 20″ canvas and I am having a wonderful time working on it using my large brushes and lots of paint. This is the progress so far.
