This 8” x 10” acrylic painting is based on a photo taken by my son-in-law on one of his biking trips through the woods. What a great scene! Everybody just loves this cow leisurely eating his hay in the morning sun. He has such personality. I named him Elmer and totally enjoyed painting him although the hay was way more difficult to portray than I expected. But after another artist commented on the painting “The COW is the star of the show! What hay?” I stopped messing with it.
