8″ x 8″ acrylic on canvas

I loved this photo of my daughter’s cat Chico totally enjoying the afternoon sun and thought it would make a great painting but once I got into it I found it way more difficult to paint cat fur than I ever imagined.  Some very helpful advice from my fellow acrylic painters coupled with a lot of patience enabled me to finish it up successfully. I learned a lot doing this painting and I’m pleased with the results. Now I have another special kitty I plan to work on next.
